TESTIMONIALS

What Our Clients Say

  • “We contracted HES Earthmoving to work for us on our Longlands Irongate project – an earthworks project with approximately 30,000m³ of cut to fill and 20,000m³ of imported material. They took time to plan, exceeded expectations on accuracy and generally made the job very easy for me as the Project Manager.

They’re a great bunch of guys to work with and their support staff were flexible in agreeing to do things the way I needed them to be done with regard to the invoicing and progress lines.

The quality of the work and the way they constantly checked on and tested the materials as they were coming in meant that they went down well and gave us the right results for compaction and everything.

The end product has given us something that we are very happy with and we will be sure to be using them again and again in the future.”

    Andrew Rosvall,
    Client’s Project Manager.

  • “HES Earthmoving Ltd have been an integral partner with SCL Civil Works in delivering the above project.

Hayden and his team have managed the objectives of the client and ourselves to deliver the project to a high standard and within programme and budget.

Hayden and his team are approachable and flexible in their management style and provide exceptional service. Additional resources have been available as required, along with practical solutions to manage site conditions and programme.

I find the HES team to be professional and productive in all aspects of delivering their subcontract works on this project.”

    Mike Job,
    Managing Director, SCL Civil Works

  • “We had roughly nine days to find 20,000m³ of hardstand at 220kpa. The only place we could find was in Hastings, but the problem was trying to find someone who could go from dirt paddock to hardstand at 220kpa in this timeframe.

It was looking unlikely and we would have had to hold the ship up at a cost of about US$25,000 a day. We were panicking a bit until we met these guys. They said, ‘We can do it’.

I left that night and lo and behold, they had one of biggest rains in history – it flooded the whole place. And yet they still managed to deliver. They removed all of the soft mud, slush and water, dug it all out, dried it out, and compacted it up for the crawler cranes. And by the ninth day we were all ready to rock and roll. Just a total relief for us.

Now – I’ve got photos showing the incredible change in such a short time. I have had to do this in Australia, Indonesia and America before, but I’ve never had anyone do 20,000m³ in nine days. I was quite impressed with them.

The pricing was great. The equipment never failed, no breakdowns or issues. And there was no complaining or tension even though they were under the pump. Hats off not just to the company but to the staff who worked on the job. Anyone can quote and have brand new equipment but it’s no good if you don’t have good operators.

There was no hesitation when I asked them to help above the scope of work, and this kind of attitude goes a long way. What a fantastic job they did – and I’m not paid to say this. It’s not often I do recommendations for people.”
