Makara Dams

Post cyclone Gabrielle, we were engaged for the silt removal at Makara Dams. Dam 4 has been completed with all silt (approx.19,000m³) removed, the spillway reinstated, and the site stabilised.

Dam 1 has required the removal of approximately 34,000m³ of silt, carted from the dam to the dumpsite. The project experienced delays with heavy rain; however, HES adapted and continued work in full compliance and without any incidents.
